Qualified electro-mechanical engineer with 2-6 years of relevant experience in battery pack structural design, and development. This position requires the engineer to design battery pack mechanical /structural design from the concept to industrialization for EV 2W application.

A Day in the Life
- Designed and developed traction battery pack mechanical/structural design based on the vehicle specification requirement.
- Material Benchmarking & prepare Roadmap, Supplier handling
- Battery Safety and Support battery validation and test activities
- Gateway system, Manage the battery development and activities
Academic Qualification & Experience
- M. Tech & B. Tech in Mechanical Eng./ Fluid and Thermal Eng./Mechatronics
Technical Skills/Knowledge
- Wide experience and knowledge in lithium-ion battery pack mechanical system design.
- Basic knowledge of battery pack subsystems, knowledge in battery cells, pack testing, and data analysis
- Experience in regulations and standards (AIS-156, AIS-038, ECE R100, UN38.3, etc.) for battery packs.
- Good understanding of Batteries, Solid mechanics, Vibration, Finite element method and System simulation modeling
- understanding of advanced modeling techniques, Model-Based Design, experience with MATLAB Simulink
- knowledge & working experience of solving complex linear and nonlinear structural problems
- knowledge on explicit and implicit simulation is required, and experience in crash, crush and drop analysis is required
- Knowledge of Li-ion cell chemistry, form factor and welding technologies.
- Knowledge of proto-development techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of PLM is an added advantage
- Knowledge in DFMEA, PFMEA, DFSS, DFA, SPC, APQP
- Knowledge of the complete cycle of battery pack development
- Knowledge of thermal and structural behavior of battery pack
- Knowledge of different theories and concepts like SOC estimation, and temperature de-rating strategies.
- Programming Skills (Python, Ansys, Matlab, Simulink)
