Job Description Summary
As a member of the Project Management Team, you will be responsible for managing the quality, budget, and schedule for the Piping work assigned to him/her during the execution of the Project from take-over to hand-over.
Execution of erection works related to Piping work, compliance with time schedule and to a satisfactory quality. Coordination with the Construction Manager, other disciplined Construction Managers, and Leads.
Supervise all issues related to the scope of the Piping erection works and interfaces with other works including implementation of GE EHS policy and site-specific EHS plans.
Provide co-workers with information about hazards, risks, and risk mitigation measures applicable to the site.
Ensuring within the scope of the discipline works that subcontractors are in compliance with the EHS requirements at the site
Job Description
Your Role:
- Erection of Piping and Piping systems and support to the commissioning team.
- Checking off and promulgation of erection documentation to subordinate personnel.
- Creation of a detailed plan and sub-schedule to ensure all piping works are completed by the overall schedule.
- Preparation and pre-checks to ensure all materials are available and all required tools and equipment are available (applies to both subcontracting and Self-performance environments).
- Actively manage/support all subordinate personnel, subcontractors and/or Self Performance erection forces to optimize the execution of piping erection. Maintaining all records of erection progress for piping Maintaining all quality records for Piping.
- Managing and maintaining the creation of as-built (Record) documentation for Piping.
- Managing and maintaining the turnover packages for commissioning for Piping. Coordination for access to all areas within the scope of the discipline works by subordinate erection forces and by others.
- Communicate directly with superiors and engineering to resolve and/or clarify any technical issues.
- Coordination with the Overall Construction Manager and other discipline construction leads on all issues affecting the Piping erection works and interfaces with other works.
- Assist with and provide input to the Construction Monitoring System (CMS). Action to ensure all punch list open items are cleared and to support the commissioning team. Implementation of the necessary EHS procedures for Piping erection to include preparation of method statements, risk analyses, safety walks, toolbox talks etc.
- Closely monitor all activities, which could have deleterious effects on the environment.
- Action to ensure all contractors or Self Performance erection forces maintain all work areas in safe and clean condition and all installed materials are adequately preserved and protected.
- Thorough investigation and taking remedial action for execution of Piping works of all variances, deviations, non-conformances, extra works, claims, non-budgeted costs etc and coordination with the site Contracts Manager and other site management to eliminate or minimise the cost impact to GE.
- Control and approve timesheets of subordinate personnel and all Self Performance erection teams.
- Maintain a comprehensive and detailed logbook of all relevant events. Preparation and submittal of detailed construction reports to senior management.
- Conduct assessments and reviews of subordinate personnel
Basic Qualifications(requirements):
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering appropriate to the technical activity involved 3+ years’ experience in construction site
Desire Qualification :
- Nice to have candidate with Knowledge and experience of Power Plant Piping of capacity 600/660 MW or more including Power Plant water steam system process knowledge.
- Good Communication skills
- Interpersonal and Resonsive
- Excellent capabilities in the explanation of complex technical and working processes
- Strong negotiation skills
