Job Description

  • Provide technical supports to cross-functional teams in various stages at mechanical design, manufacturing, process, and testing for the assigned projects in the current transformer and voltage transformer
  • Responsible to deliver new design documents, drawing, assembly, and BOMs as per assigned project schedule and lead the reviews for the assigned project with a cross-functional team
  • Pro-actively interact / Work closely with a cross-functional team to ensure the CAD model/ 2D, 3D drawings are in-line with manufacturing practices and requirement of new products / new components
  • A self-directing environment with complete end to end project ownership mainly in 3D/2D modeling, mechanical design analysis with sourcing and production team
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects after project completions and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Support to design / Manufacturing team & Vendor coordination for new component/part development and validation testing plan based on customer requirements to deliver the type test for new products/ new components

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Verify conformance to specification by measuring and testing during in-house manufacturing. Perform incoming goods control, product inspections, witness points to control quality for items from external suppliers.
  • Developing conceptual knowledge of the professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in a broad area.
  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how the work of your own team contributes to the area.
  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consult supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer-facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information asks questions and checks for understanding.
