Role Description:

• This position will work closely with Lead Designer, Engineering design team to develop the products in an organized and expedient fashion. The Industrial -Designer will be responsible for delivering high-quality experiences, aesthetics, graphics, and presentations pushing design to the next level.
• The designer will be involved in every phase of design from need finding through concepts to production to deliver world-class design solutions.
• Develop and present concepts through sketching, 3D modeling, and rapid prototyping through a strong demonstration of design thinking.
• Design and render using Rhinoceros, parametric solid/surface modeling, Keyshot, and other 3D packages, with proven visualization abilities using Adobe Creative Suite and CorelDRAW
• Be a part of a team to determine CCRs (Critical Customer Requirements) and then translate them into tangible, desirable product
• OTD and quality on the performance of work deliveries (Industrial Design Concepts) for various NPI gateway reviews
• Helping to raise the level of Forbes Marshall design until we’re regarded as one of the best in the world

Key Responsible Areas:  Product Design, Ideation, prototyping, Need finding, UI/UX

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s or Masters’s Degree in Industrial Design from an accredited institution or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of Industrial/product design experience in a consultancy or corporation. International experience is a plus.

• Conceptualization (sketching)
• 3D explorations, 3D modeling
• High-quality renders (key shot)
• Graphic packages Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or CorelDRAW (added advantage), Rapid Prototyping,
• Basic understanding of manufacturing process and materials
• Excellent design Presentation skills. Ability to clearly communicate your vision and ideas verbally and visually

Added Advantage:

• CMF Design (Color, Material & Finish),
• Graphical Visualization,
• Sketchbook Pro is a plus.
• Mechanically inclined (optional), with an understanding of engineering principles,
• Well-developed and demonstrated interpersonal skills.
