Overall responsibilities and duties:

  • Designer Central implementation and user support.
  • Participate/ Suggest Methodology for CAD & its related files to upload and download into the PLM tool
  • Identify enhancement to maximize efficient use of PLM tool & its methods
  • Responsible to create Group Information System – Engineering Information Technology (GIS-EIT) 3rd Level Stratos tickets for PDM issues.
  • Responsible to support global PDM/PLM User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Assists in UAT testing of new application/ current application functions
  • Responsible for PDM/PLM user support for all regional sites regarding the Bill of Materials (BOM’s).
  • Support users to define Bill of Material in PLM tool with diversity management & release the BOM with Change management process
  • Troubleshooting of PDM user issues and SAP/PDM integration issues with EIT team and engineering.
  • Responsible to support global Stratos Level 2 tickets within Business Group for user requests.
  • Attend tickets related to PDM/PLM application, analyze & perform a quality check to provide a solution to the users and if required escalate to the L3 support team with a detailed explanation of the issue
  • Troubleshooting of integration issue between PDM/PLM tool & ERP system
  • Provide official PDM/PLM user training to users within the Engineering Academy organization and training on best practices & standards as needed.
  • Responsible to create, review and support Request for Changes (RFC) to improve the system with Enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Responsible to help define best practices, standards, training materials, and other documentation required to communicate and instruct users on PDM/PLM.
  • Responsible for general program support needs related to PDM/PLM & FCS Interface.
  • Able to lead and manage specific projects related to PDM/PLM of Faurecia Core System (FCS) as requested.
  • Awareness of QMS Policy & Processes
  • Ensuring all work processes & procedures are in line with QMS objectives & reporting any incident of deviation from QMS.

The main missions of the role are:

  • Senior Product Data Management (PDM) engineer is responsible for the support and applications of the PDM system in accordance with Faurecia Interior Systems procedures.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Minimum education level: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/production

Experience :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/production with previous experience in PDM-PLM Engineering.
  • Minimum 5-6 years of proven experience in a PDM deployment or application position.

Skills and competencies:

  • Enovia PLM tool
  • Good understanding of Product development process and manufacturing requirements.
  • Intermediate CAD tool experience (Preferred Catia & NX)
  • Able to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in English.

Description:

  • Faurecia Interior System is looking for a Development Engineer for its Engineering Unit at Pune.
  • The role of a ‘Development Engineer’ is to guide the Product definition, Geometry Convergence and validation, according to Faurecia Product Standards and Guidelines and customer requirements.

The main missions of the role:

  • Responsible for creation of Engineering BOM and release it in Galileo and SAP
  • Analyze customer product specifications and applicable regulations/ legislation for his perimeter on the program.
  • Define the product functional analysis (based on standard) to translate customer specifications and internal requirements into clear product performance criteria. Propose FIS commitment on these criteria, and get approval from GTS (FIS experts)
  • Agree to the material choice (proposed by Material Expert) is able to meet mechanical performance. Support the creation and update of the product definition file in Product Data Management (PDM).
  • Responsible to define RPS of assigned part with support from PDE. Give the necessary inputs to the Product Design Engineer (PDE) to ensure that the design meets the defined performance. Support the PDE with regard to specifications knowledge and product robustness if needed.
  • Responsible for ECR and ECO and subsequent BOM updation where needed.
  • Lead the KPC identification,. Lead DFMEA. (based on standards)
  • Lead the product validations (DVPhase2, DVPhase3 & PVPhase3) for his perimeter on the program. Define, plan, and follow the product validations (CAE and physical tests). Define the product improvements to meet the specifications.
  • Define BOP specifications. Support Make or Buy. Participate in SNC for BOP (ensure consistency between BOP specifications and suppliers commitments). Formalize Purchase Requests for BOP tools kick-off and modifications.
  • If applicable, for Development or Expert Supplier, guide and manage the development done by the supplier. Support PDL to document SLI in PSNext.
  • Lead system/assy geometrical conformity assessment (including getting the measurements through geometry center).
  • According to simulation/validation/measurement results, define necessary product geometry/interface improvements to meet the specifications. Define mock-up sheets for design improvement.
  • Support the PDL to reach the quality, costs, and timing targets of the program and define engineering levels to be used by (Pilot) Plant during launch.
  • Report to the PDL, for his perimeter on the program, the following PRC template data: DVPh2, DVPh3, PVPh3, Geometry Dft, Dim Conf. PC Q PH2 and Meisterbock in PH 3. Support PDL and PQL during PPAP and Launch
  • Support EFM by loading all required documents into Galileo and contribute to the achievement of Faurecia Engineering Milestones as well as Customer Program Milestones.
  • At the end of a program, make appropriate capitalization documents (Lessons learned, Technical Reports) to feed/improve Standards and Guidelines.
  • To uphold & abide by the code of ethics & Management.
