Position – Senior Design Engineer

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

• The Design Engineer is responsible for design of new or existing products, in line with planning, process, quality targets. He/she produces complete engineering designs translated in CAD models and creates all the associated documentation with in PDM systems.

Principle Accountability

• Creation / Modifications of 3D models for all Exhaust components using standard CAD software.
• Minimum 2 years of experience on creating manufacturing drawings, defining tolerances & applying GD&T
• Hands-on experience for trouble-shooting activities and innovative solutions
• Very good in material properties & selection of materials
• Knowledge of Sheetmetal/Casting/Forging manufacturing Processes.
• Communicate with the customer on day to day activities.
• Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documents (PDM)
• Execute projects to meet the customer’s time line and quality requirements.
• Participate in GAP meeting and update information GAP boards timely
• Actively participate in employee involvement/ Continuos Improvement activities /knowledge management initiatives.

Must have the following experience:

• Experience on CAD tools – Catia V5, Creo, Nx.
• General Engineering knowledge, Automobile, strength of material etc
• Exposure to design and development environment.
• Experience on design standards and drafting guidelines.

Following are the added advantages:

• Exposure to Exhaust system design.
• Work experance or knowledge on sheet metal press tool design
• Experience on DFMEA, DFM, DFA & DFS
• Multi tool skills, more than one CAD software expereince
• Experience in working with PLM.
• Exposure to product development process .
• Experience on quality systems TS16946.
• Exposure to NAO/Europe Automotive Customer Specifications & Standards.
• Exposure to major OEM desing standards like CES etc.

Position – Plant Quality Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

Title: Plant Quality Engineer
Reports To: Plant Quality Manager

Essential responsibilities and duties

• Faurecia is looking for a Plant Quality Engineer to be based at Interior systems plant
• The role of an SQA Engineer is to improve quality in line with the sites PPM/Demerit targets.

The main missions of the role are:

• APQP Management for Serial life products
• Secure serial life transition for new programs with ASQ and compile `lessons learnt’
• Maintain PPAP files & perform periodic requalification’s including R & R, Process audit.
• Manage the process audits of existing Bought-Out Parts (BOP)

Incoming Inspection Management

• Review the process of new Bought-Out Parts (BOP) with the support and the co-operation of the Advanced Supplier Quality (ASQ) Engineer and/or the Program Quality Engineer
• Experience in Supplier Development activity.
• Obtain from supplier their control records(i.e Raw material certificate..)

Supplier Claim Management

• Temporary Quality wall implementation in order to protect the customer (Internal & External)
  Issue the Quality claim in QSS (D1 to D3)
• Supplier action plan follow up and validation.
• Drive escalation process in the event of no supplier response or critical claims (S/R,PF4).
  Supplier charge back followup.

Supplier performance follow-up

• Plant supplier PPM (monthly and 6 MR)
• Red List management
• Worst supplier action plan follow-up (monthly meeting)
• Supplier ECR management in serial life.
• S/R Securation rate.
• Follow-up supplier’s audit and special audit, following corrective action implementation.
• Implementation of action by suppliers on S/R characteristics not secured.
• Manage supplier selection along with ASQ.
• Consolidate required supplier quality indicators for his plant and communicate them to the Plant Quality Manager.
• Training of supplier for Faurecia Supplier related systems.
• Notify formally suppliers of their self certification status in co-operation with the plant buyer.

Customer Quality requirement

• Represent customer requirements internally.
• Plant Quality objectives monitoring.
• Manage the Customer Quality system in accordance with the Faurecia Excellence System.
• Interrupt the manufacturing or the delivery of products when Quality is not assured.
• Resolution of Customer concern by 8 D methodology.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Minimum education level: Diploma or Bachelor Degree

Experience:

• Exposure in Injection Plastic / Sheet metal and Painting Automotive industry experience in Tier 1 or Tier 2
• Diploma or Bachelor degree in engineering with a specialization in supplier quality
• Diploma with 5 years & Degree with 3 Years experience as an SQA in an automotive industrial environment
• Results oriented with
• Minimum bi-lingual (English & Telugu is required)
