Job description

In this role, you will have the following responsibilities.

• Claim Handling at Supplier End
  • Understand the reason for supplier-related non-conformance occurring at Incoming Inspection, Assembly rejection and Customer end.
  • Drive the Root Cause Analysis with the concerned supplier.
  • Ensure timely mistake-proofing actions are submitted by the supplier and the same are communicated back to the NCN raiser.
  • Evaluate whether the supplies mistake mistake-proofing actions are adequate.
  • Follow up until successful implementation.
  • Ensure supplier complies to Cost of Poor-Quality criteria.
• Monthly Supplier Meeting –
  • Create yearly pan for non-performing supplier.
  • The yearly schedule for monthly meetings for these suppliers needs to be prepared and communicated in time.
  • Involve suppliers’ top management team for strategic resolution of issues.
  • Also, collaborate with cross-functional teams and conduct monthly meetings to monitor the progress concerning action plans.
  • This will include their improvement areas.
• Supplier Collaboration Portal Maintenance
  • Create external users and link them with the suppliers.
  • Resolve SCP software-related issues experienced by the suppliers.
  • Participate in training and implementation programme for group SCP team.

Frequent travel will be required to work at Gemba and improve processes.

• Safeguard sound implementation and application of the Principles & Guidelines of “The Epiroc Way”.
• You will report to the Quality Manager – Supplier Quality Assurance within the SHEQ function.

Experience requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Assurance.
• Manufacturing process knowledge – Casting, forging, machining, and fabrication is required
• Understanding hydraulic, pneumatic, engine, driveline & electrical is an added advantage.
• Knowledge and experience of using Quality tools.
• Hands-on experience of MS Office, PowerBI & M3 (ERP).

Educational requirements

• Graduate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
