Job description

What you’ll do:

“The data steward implements the product data life cycle maintenance for his/her division’s products in the ERP and PIM systems. In this role, the data steward will receive instructions from the Divisional Lead Data Steward (located in Europe) and from the Team Leader – Divisional (located in Pondicherry).

The Product Data Steward will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of Eaton’s Product master data and thereby support the implementation of the balanced scorecard for the divisions of Eaton’s Electrical Sector EMEA.”

“ERP + PIM systems

• Support the creation of a new Product master database (SAP / Product Data Hub / Oracle / Front End initiative)
• Support on product transfers from one location to another location by setting up Part, Sales & MRP views on SAP system.
• Use data quality tools to analyze the data for quality or harmonization purposes
• Support for Europe manufacturing location on day to day business operation support on Structuring BOM(Bill of Materials), Routing and PIR’s(Purchase info records)
• Co-ordinate with Technical team and implement the changes in ERP & PIM systems as per the LDS/business requirement

ERP – specific

• Master Data Management : manages the creation, implementation, and maintenance of master data management solutions that enable users to optimize system capabilities
• Migrate items to different CSO’s to enable sales synergy across systems
• Improve the data life cycle processes with the support of the central MDM team
• Design and maintain procedure & workflow
• Govern interface reports from master data interfaces
• Increase product data quality in system by implementing monthly/daily audits

PIM – specific

• Execute the PIM evaluation in PIM systems according to the instructions received from divisional product management
• Create and structure product datasheets for Eaton.com and online catalog for satisfying customers.
• Trigger action according to the result of the PIM evaluation, in particular for data maintenance according to the ETIM classification standard
• Implement the structures in the PIM databases after validation by the subject matter experts
• Maintain item attributes, features, pictures & assets for SKU’s in online platforms via PIM systems

Qualifications:

• BE/B.Tech Electrical /Mechanical/Any Relevant Degree
• 1 – 3 years – Proven and solid experience working in the following ERP system : both SAP, PDH and MS Excel as an Reporting tool
