Job description

What you’ll do:

Position’s main focus will be to prepare technical design details & drawings in compliance to drawing standards as per industry standards and prevailing engineering practices for Aerospace.

• Creation of 3D models and drawings of the new product designs and modification of existing product drawings and models.
• A person in this position must have working knowledge of CAD tools such as Pro/E Creo, Solid Works, CATIA, and AutoCAD, assembly, and detailing to prepare CAD models and complete detailed design/drawings.
• A person should have a good understanding of design guidelines and standards such as ASME Y14/ANSI Y14.
• A person should be good at drawings, dimensioning standards, tolerance standards & tolerance stack-up and engineering calculations as required to support design integrity.
• Utilize DFSS concepts/tools such as PDSC, P-Diagram, DFMEA, Risk Management & DVPR for new product development &/or existing product improvements
• Creation of 3D models and drawings of the new product designs, and modification of existing drawings and models
• Sustains process for design standards and procedures governing product design methods, documents, and data control for the associated business group
• Utilizes understanding of manufacturing processes to improve new and existing designs & acts as a technical resource for internal/external customers and resolves technical challenges
• Maintain credible communication practice with stakeholders on technical clarifications, testing & resolving of field failures
• Maintain effective communications, both verbal & written, with customers, team members, and cross functional departments
• Be an active professional in continuous learning, resulting inthe enhancement of organizational objectives
• Performs quality checks to ensure the design meets Eaton and customer standards/requirements
• Person must be proficient with ProE-Creo 7.0, CATIA V5, Bluebeam, and should be able to perform GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and engineering calculations as required, supporting design integrity.
• Should have a good understanding of DFMA (Design for manufacturability & assembly). Shall leverage DFMA principles while working on engineering designs and drawings
• Utilize the PLM (Enovia / Windchill) system for documentation control and workflow.
• Should have experience of working with Aerospace Products & Standards
• Ensure right quality and on-time delivery of drawings & engineering documents.
• Strong analytical, presentation skills.

Qualifications:

• Education level required: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or equivalent
• Years and area of experience required: Bachelor’s degree – Min 0 – 2 years of total experience of product design, drawing,s and CAD modeling
• Technical knowledge : 3D modeling and drawings, GD&T, Tolerance stackup, Engineering design calculations, Risk analysis & assessment (DFMEA)
