• This position will have the responsibility to lead the mechanical design for Wright-line custom designs per the defined scope and schedule.
• The person in this position will have to execute sales orders as per divisional standards based on the specific requirements and communicate effectively.
• Lead the mechanical design for the Wright-line furniture products based on the space plan, functional specifications & the customer specifications delivering On-Time, meeting expected quality.
• Liaison with Sales team, space planners and marketing team to ensure accuracy and completeness of requirements collected through customer. Establish good working relationship with these teams to ensure the deliverables from the team are meeting the customer requirements on the first go thereby enhancing the chances of winning the order from the customers.
• Resolve technical issues and road blocks impacting assigned projects by taking quick and timely decisions which are well supported by DfMA and engineering fundamentals.
• Mentor the team on technical issues, queries, problems etc. and ensure quality design output from all the team members by acting as a quality check focal. This will require the incumbent to ensure his thoroughness of understanding on design rules / guidelines and conduct thorough technical / drawing reviews.
• Actively participate and / or lead events like Kaizen, Product brainstorming, Hackathons, etc. and drive the solution to implementation.
• Galvanize the organization to achieve continual improvement on performance parameters such as On time performance, First Pass Yield, Turnaround time, etc.
• Create Intellectual Property documents (IPs) around new product / process improvement ideas and drive innovation from ideation to execution, in doing so, add value to the product / process and improve or maintain current functionality, performance, installation time, customer satisfaction levels and durability requirements.
• Support Migration on Product Lifecycle Management to Enovia at Crouse Hinds & B-line Level by liaising with cross functional teams such as Global Engineering Teams, Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management, Product Lifecycle Management, Supply Chain, etc. This requires the incumbent to have ambition, drive, enthusiasm, communication, articulation and presentation skills and strong practical engineering experience to compliment his/her technical ability.
• Create and sustain processes for design standards and procedures governing product design methods and documents.

Qualifications

Requirement:

• Bachelors of Engineering / Technology
• 4-7 Years for Bachelors
• Mechanical Engineering fundamentals Engineering Mechanics, Machine Design, etc.
  Proficiency in working on 3D models, drawings, BOM according to the customer and space requirements,
• Basic knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stackups,
• Software proficiency required – Microsoft Office Applications (Proficient), AutoCAD (Proficient), Creo / Pro-E (Intermediate), 3DS Max (Nice to have), Lotus notes (Nice to have), Enovia (Nice to have).
