Position – Assistant Manager – Production & Maintenance

Job description

  • Knowledge of machines and equipment used in process industries
  • Knowledge of working on High-Speed Bottling Lines, Like KHS, Kroners
  • Ability to identify and quickly resolve equipment issues on shop floor
  • Knowledge of risks in case of equipment issues and risk mitigation actions Has experience in the operational implementation
  • Has got exposure of at least 3 years in manufacturing excellence
  • Has familiarity with Lean concepts, Kaizen, TPM, Integrated Management System, OSHAS, 5S, 6 Sigma etc.
  • Is well versed with different analytical tools like Pareto, Poka Yoke, Value Engineering
  • Has exposure in Managing an Unionised workforce

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

PERFORMANCE MEASURES (QUANTITATIVE / QUALITATIVE)

  1. Plant Maintenance for Productivity Improvement
    • Plan, implement and monitor the daily maintenance plan to enhance the serviceability of the mechanical/ electrical system
    • Plan, schedule, implement and monitor the preventive/predictive maintenance to minimize breakdown – Optimising SDT to minimize EDT
    • Handle real-time breakdowns/emergencies effectively
    • VED analysis of spares & maintain inventory of vital, essential & desirable spares as par analysis.
    • Maintaining asset history data & improving asset life by applying analysing tools.
    • Fine-tuning bottling lines to ensure error-free fill level & desired labelling accuracy at rated capacity• Plan Vs Actual
    • % Improvement in Production lead time
    • No of breakdowns
  2. Operation and Maintenance of Utilities
    • Ensure efficient operation and maintenance of DG’s, Air Compressors, HVAC, STP, ETP, Industrial Water Supply, incinerator, cold rooms etc. to ensure full-scale availability of Utility equipment
    • Drive energy saving and improvement project initiation, planning, and execution.

  3. Documentation and Reporting
    • Document and Report maintenance activities
    • Maintain a list of all spares available
    • Design maintenance strategies, procedures & methods in form of a maintenance manual.
    • Conduct Utility consumption analysis and reporting.
    • Liaise with Government Regulatory authorities for license renewals, NOCs etc.• Accuracy
    • Adherence to Timelines
  4. People Management
    • Lead a team of executives/supervisors/technicians to achieve different predefined KPIs
    • Communicate, guide, direct and monitor maintenance activities
    • Identify skill gaps among the team and provide required training to build capabilities
    • Inspect the daily maintenance activities and take corrective actions as required• No. of breakdowns

  5. Support
    • Supervise the installation & commissioning of equipment
    • Work closely with Quality, EHS, Production, and Process Managers to ensure timely support or undertake preventive actions
