Position – Senior Engineer- Supplier Development Engineer

Job description

We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Engineer- Supplier Development Engineer to join us at our diverse team. This position is responsible for managing Supplier Development activity and Supplier DPPM Improvement. This position is responsible for development of parts, ISIR at supplier place to ensure right first. Co-ordination with in-coming quality for quality issues and 8D analysis for problem solving. Including PPAP Activities with Suppliers.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Initiate APQP for all developments as per Eaton supplier development process.
• Support an on time launch of new product/ Localization projects.
• Conduct Part Print Review along all CFT members like receipt quality, Design Engineer,
• Manufacturing Engineer and Supplier team.
• Monitor development activity and follow up with supplier to meet the timeline.
• Give feedback on the part submitted by supplier and initiate corrective actions at supplier’s end.
• Initiate the supplier up gradation/ improvement activity and closely work with suppliers for continual Improvement
• Prepare supplier quality audit plan and execute it.
• Initiate the corrective action on audit findings at supplier’s end.
• Closely work with Supplier and Eaton CFT viz. Receipt quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Design
• Engineer on the issues /concerns during development.
• Maintain and update the documents/ records in line with ISO 9000 quality system requirement.

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

• Diploma /Graduation in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4-6 years of experience in Supplier Development / Quality Function.
• Excellent Knowledge of PPAP / APQP
• Good Knowledge of problem-solving tools techniques.
• Knowledge of Casting, Machining and Special process will be added advantage.
• Working knowledge on measuring instrument like CMM, Roundness tester, etc.
• Practical knowledge of Quality systems, methods and practices.
• Knowledge of ERP system, MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written & verbal
