Position – Engineer – Modeling and Simulation

Job description
The employee will be part of the Modelling and Simulation Team at DIIC R&D and Engineering organization in Danfoss Power Solutions and will report to M&S COE Leader – Magarpatta, India. This role will be primarily responsible for supporting modelling and simulation activities for various applications, development of robust component level as well as system level models to help design team build robust products.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Conduct physics-based simulation to evaluate stress and fatigue life of components with focus on vibrational fatigue
- Liaison with global business stakeholders to drive analysis driven design in product development cycle
- Develop and validate digital prototypes to mimic product physics and predict key CTQ’s using software such as ANSYS, Sherlock and FEMFAT
- Leverage DFSS methodology to enable robust product designs
- Independently handle project assignments and manage day-to-day project responsibilities
- Create valuable IP to expand innovation envelope for organization growth
- Embrace continuous improvement initiatives and demonstrate consistent increase in “value” from project deliverables
Background & Skills
The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Applied Mechanics/Design from reputed institutes with 1-3 years of experience in Structural Mechanics domain.
- Understanding of basics of vibrations and its impact on PCB design
- Candidate must have thorough knowledge of Finite Element Methods, Strength of Materials & Machine Design, vibration management
- Candidate must have demonstrated ability to interpret, summarize and communicate FEA analysis results to global audience and provide technical and/or design recommendations

We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Designer to join us at our diverse team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide Design Engineering support using software’s like Pro/Engineer Wildfire 5.0, AutoCAD & Siemens NX to Fluid Conveyance products. The role involves generation of 3D models & 2D drawings adhering to engineering standards to support Fluid Conveyance Products group global locations.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Building 3D models and drawings of various design concepts.
- Ensure adherence to design standards and procedures governing documents/drawings and data control for the associated business group.
- Awareness of engineering standard like ASME / ISO related to Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T), Stack Up analysis
- Should be able to perform drawing checking by using checklists
- Self-study the problems, issues, concerns, improvements around design detailing and provide recommendations for changes.
- Good communication both verbal & written with global teams, customers, peers and cross functional teams.

- Required: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from reputed institute with minimum first class OR distinction having relevant 1-3 years hands-on experience on Pro/E, Siemens NX.
- Experience with Fluid Conveyance product will be an added advantage
