Job description
- Review incoming orders according to established guidelines.
- Check requirements in the Specification sheets, Delivery documents, and other customer documents and ensure that the product selection is matching with these requirements.
- Verify options specified are compatible with the selected product model.
- Ensure special instructions in the order and/or attachments are captured in the bill of material in line with Oracle guidelines.
- Submit requests to product engineering teams for new products or parts. Follow up with the product engineering team to ensure that inputs are received as per commitment.
- Create special product structures to meet special construction.
- Coordinate with the Inside sales team to resolve/clarify issues associated with orders.
- Bring up issues to the team leader promptly to ensure that items are released to production without delay.
- Process new orders and change orders within the lead times specified as part of service level requirements while maintaining the Right-First-Time target level.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Proficiency and visualization skills to create the correct bill of material in line with specifications.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Prior experience working in Oracle will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes collected during a graduate engineering course.
- Process knowledge about the valve manufacturing process is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the vital skills to optimally apply technology and systems specific to the work.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the following engineering fields – Mechanical/Chemical/ Instrumentation or related subject area.
- Candidates without the required education or years of experience may be considered depending on other qualifications and/or ability to demonstrate an ability to learn.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills will be mandatory.
