Overview:

In this role the Lead Engineer – Mechanical Design will actively participate in New Product Development, In-Production Engineering, and design related activities with respect to testing.

Position: Lead Engineer (P2)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Strong hands-on experience in part modeling, assembly and detailing. Knowledge on Kinematics would be a plus
  • Application of GD&T – ASME Y14.5-1994 or later & Tolerance Stack-up.
  • Awareness of Landing gear functioning would be a plus.
  • Ability to understand Concessions / Quality notifications (QN).
  • Exposure to various materials and processes used in Landing Gear
  • Exposure w.r.t various primary and secondary manufacturing processes.
  • Hands on experience in CATIA V5.
  • Experience on hydraulic actuators is desirable
  • Attention to details will be paramount.
  • Being a team player with good communication skills are a must as the position will involve interfacing across various disciplines (Design, Stress, Materials, etc.).
  • Ability to meet and exceed business expectations with unyielding integrity.
  • Exposure to Value Engineering activities and prior patents if any will be a plus

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace / Manufacturing / Industrial & Production Engineering
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience
  • Master’s degree in a similar domain would be a plus
  • Aircraft Landing Gear knowledge is preferable
