Job description

Position Summary : Planning Engineer

The Engineer manages all coordination activities within production teams for all customer orders released to mfg. planning – be it standard order or project order, Aftermarket order or Fore market order – such that teams deliver the project/orders on schedule.

Principal Activities

• Making daily, weekly & Monthly plan for the production shop for daily shipments, in line with the Unconstrained Demand Plan.
• Releasing of PR as per plan.
• Job Ticket issuance to store to issue the material as per plan.
• Conducting Morning & Evening meeting to ensure daily shipments.
• Track open Sales orders to resolve late and partial shipment and keep data base updated.
• Processes order revision requests in SAP and communicates to related functions and maintain records in sales order.
• Keep checks on right scope of supply in line with the customer requirement by reviewing release of the design and engg. function, which helps further in avoiding wrong supplies.
• Identifying and eliminating “non-value added” department activities.
• Reporting for Customer Committed Date on close of every month.
• Completing regulatory documents concerning safety issues.

Job Requirements:

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications: Should have BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: Should have a minimum 3 Years of Experience in managing internal customers and in order handling towards execution. And experience in using SAP ERP Skills:

• Exposure of SAP & ERP Module.
• Excellent verbal and written Communication
• Organized and able to meet deadlines
• Negotiation & Convincing Skills – Teamwork
• Problem Solving Attitude – Teamwork
• Microsoft Office tools usage. (MIS preparation and presentation skills) 7. Capability to manage Dynamic situations in order prioritization.

• Manage the Order execution Process Efficiently and Effectively to meet On on-time delivery of orders.
• Understand business requirements.
