Your Role

Your mission

The main responsibility of Engineer – Product Management is to design and develop new concepts with the objective of achieving design requirements of product, within the limits of laid process, guidelines and requitements for engineering design projects at Global Engineering Centre of Atlas Copco India at Pune.

Your role:

In the job of Engineer, you will be working at the Global Engineering Centre of Atlas Copco in the Product Management Team and;

Your responsibilities:

  • Understand the scope of work and drive the projects smoothly and ensure quality deliverables are provided on time and lead to successful completion of projects.
  • Monitor the overall progress of projects against the schedule/slippage/risk identification and mitigation and milestones reporting to GECIA management as well as the customer.
  • Participate and deliver in sustenance/product improvement project/s utilizing the competence of the GECIA team/s.
  • Plan project execution and steer the project with the objective of delivering projects within estimated time, quality, and as per customer standards.
  • Produce and check the 3D assemblies, 2D drawings, etc.
  • Conduct quality checks of self to achieve adherence to defined quality standards.
  • It will be your challenge to further develop & expand the scope of activities and competence within the team.

 To succeed, you will need  

Skills and experience:

Educational requirements/Experience requirements:

  • BE / B Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of experience in design & project execution / co-ordination experience in an Industrial product with OEM organization.

Knowledge/skills requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Accurate executor and good leadership skills.
  • Thorough CAD and design knowledge.
  • Able to work on large 3D assemblies and create detailed 2D assembly drawings, part drawings, dimension drawings, etc.
  • Able to communicate clearly about the difficulties and status of work in hand.
  • Able to work on multiple projects by giving due importance to each project.
  • Having a sense of urgency and sense of responsibility.
  • Experience of working on Inventor or some other CAD software is must.
  • Experience of working in Enovia will be added advantage.
