Position – Gas Turbine – Ancillary Engineer

As an Ancillary DE at Caterpillar, you will have an opportunity to perform design, development, and maintenance of new or existing products and components.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to

Responsible for Design\ development for the Ancillary system for Gas Turbine packages.
Developing / Sizing, Air Inlet, Air Exhaust, and Enclosure Ventilation systems based on plant/ package requirements.
Supports New Product and Maintenance Projects.
Resolves Field, Factory, Engineering issues for maintenance
Solve commissioning issues by interaction with suppliers
Appropriately prioritize and multi-task to complete projects
An accountable individual who follows through and completes assigned tasks
The job will require interfacing with various organizations at Solar Turbines utilizing excellent written and verbal communications skills
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or equivalent Engineering
5 to 7 Years Turbo- Machinery on Mechanical packaging design for Gas Turbine\Steam Turbine.
Knowledge on Gas Turbine packaging BOP layout
Knowledge on Bellows and Silencers
Knowledge of Acoustic for Ancillary systems.
Knowledge of ducting support structure
Experience on FEA
Knowledge of various types of Air filters and its users based on applications
Any 3D modeling or simulation tools.

Desired Qualifications

Proficiency in Creo and simulation tools (Ansys).
Experience in Windchill.
Experience in resolving engineering issues with manufacturing/factory floor
Experience in Engineering, Testing, Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance of Turbo-machinery Equipment.
