Position – Design Engineer / Design Manager (Mechanical)

Job description

Prepare the design of transformer tanks and clamps according to customer’s requirements and technical specifications using 3D software.
Research for new materials and suppliers to improve the company’s products.
Generate manufacturing drawings.
Prepare bill of materials for the tank, cover, and final assembly Assist production during tank/clamp manufacturing and final assembly activities Identifying and clarifying customer requirements.
Coordinate with customers/sales / commercial department in understanding the requirement and submit drawings accordingly
Understand design metric parameters
Tender support to electrical designers for customer drawings
Complete Design execution up to 765KV class transformers including fabrication drawings, internal connections & customer drawings.
Design optimization & material content reduction.
Corrective & Preventive action of internal / external customer issues.

BE/ BTech in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience in Power Transformer Design / Drafting of Manufacturing drawings.
Make manufacturing drawings of the active parts and outer tank/parts, etc. of Power Transformers.
Must have experience of using 2D, 3D, NX, Pro – Engineer AutoCAD, inventor, Unigraphics, SAP, software.
Must have worked up to 400 KV Power transformer
