What’s the Role:

As our Design Engineer, you will be our inhouse expert to design, develop and provide engineering services for the Marketing & Technology products. You will especially bring your expertise and design knowledge of all Mineral Processing products- GET, Undercarriage, Buckets & Dump Bodies, Mill liners & Fixed Plant equipment and help us meet the customer expectations and deliver outstanding results.

You will be a hands-on and solution-focused engineer who will perform solid modelling, detailed drafting, analysis and other technical requirements for product offerings for Bradken and continually contribute to better output that meets the customer expectation.

You will have a naturally collaborative style of working and will build customer and stakeholder relationships that facilitate their involvement in testing and validation of new products, solutions and services to provide Bradken with a market advantage.

Always seeking opportunities for improvement, you will design, develop and customize products and service offerings that are fit for purpose for our customers and provide the highest standard of technical support on an ongoing basis.

You are a problem solver who will assist with product failure investigations and provide feedback and opportunities for improvement of product in line with internal standards.

As a data-driven and detail-oriented engineer, you will conduct analyses using hand calculations, FEA, and DEM and also ensure all appropriate checks are in place for models, drawings, analysis/simulation, and other technical requirements are compliant with standards and capture (documentation) of engineering requirements accurately.

As a Key Technical Criteria:

• Degree in mechanical engineering or similar stream with preferred 3 years of experience.
• Proficiency in the use of CAD (preferably NX or similar package) including 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Proficiency in GD&T and tolerance studies.
• Teamcenter PLM, Ansys FEA experience would be well regarded.
• Experience developing new products, with the knowledge of production and manufacturing processes and techniques is required.
• Knowledge of scan processing, reverse engineering, and inspection tools like Polyworks, Geomagic etc.
• Knowledge of mineral processing, material handling equipment, and processes would be well regarded.

This role will be based in Coimbatore.
