Job description

As a Design Engineer, you will work on the design, development, and engineering services for the Bradken product lines, which include GET, Undercarriage, Buckets & Dump Bodies, Mill liners & Fixed Plant equipment (Mineral Processing equipment).

You will have the strong technical knowledge and will perform solid modelling, detailed drafting, hand calculations, tolerance studies, analysis/simulation, reverse engineering and other engineering activities for Bradken product offerings. You will be involved in Preparing technical reports and wear prediction reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising the information and trends.

You will adhere to quality standards and investigate product failures to provide feedback for improvements. You will ensure all information about products/specifications is captured in the Product Lifecycle Management System and effectively disseminated to relevant stakeholders and customers.

You will have high attention to detail, you will also prepare technical reports, ensure information is captured in the product management system, and build relationships with internal customers and cross-functional teams. You will identify potential intellectual property and report it to the Engineering Team Lead while performing other duties as directed.

Key Technical Criteria:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Max. 5 years in designing (freshers can apply )
• Experienced in translating design ideas/requirements into detailed engineering documents/specifications, by applying the fundamental concepts of mechanical engineering and drawing creation.
• Demonstrated experience in design, development and/or engineering services of new and customised products.
• Experience in managing and updating engineering drawings, CAD models, Bill of Materials, and technical information in product lifecycle management tool
• Knowledge in scan processing, reverse engineering, and inspection tools like Polyworks, Geomagic etc. (Preferred)
• Flexible to work in Shifts
