Job Description

• Quality responsibility for material fields: Plastic and rubber, Machined, cast, Stamped, forged, sintered, Electromechanics, Electronic parts, sub-assemblies, Inward, Logistics & Indirect material.
• Ensure effective ISIR evaluation & PPAP release for new development
• Ensure inspection of parts in a timely manner and clearance to the plant
• Inspection & evaluation of PPAP – samples & documents
• Address Quality claims with quick containment actions across the supply chain
• To ensure suitable corrective & preventive actions from suppliers on claims using an effective 8D methodology
• To lead the team to focus on Value stream-oriented activities such as DIR meetings, Critical list address and strive for stake-holder confidence.
• Enable a clear supplier quality improvement strategy along M/PQT based on the quality performance trends, Gap analysis, Focus areas for poor quality contributing suppliers.
• Interaction with customers directly for supplier part claims (through co-ordination of plant quality members)
• Drive inspection optimization through enhancement of Skip rate with proper DMR SAP code for qualifying parts
• Capability building for measurements & for various types of parts & characteristics

Qualifications

• B.E / Diploma (Mechanical/ Automobile Engineering) with 1-5 years automotive industrial experience (Preferably in Quality Function)
• Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings and BOM’s
• Knowledge on Usage of Fine Measuring equipment like CMM, Pertho-meter, Form Tester along with Profile projector, spring tester, Delta vision, etc.
• Competent in Planning of Measurements with First Principle and Gauges (Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Attribute/variable gauges, control rods, slip gauges, etc..)
• Know-How on Complaint Handling, 8D Methodology, Capability Indicators, and FMEA, & Control Plan

Additional Exposure (Preferred)

• Knowledge of Manufacturing know-how of Plastics, Fasteners, Die casting and Sheet metal commodity Components
• Keen attitude for a problem-solving activity with a focus on speed, quality & communication of actions taken. (Service Quality Excellence)
• Basic Awareness on Plating & Heat treatment processes
• Working experience on SAP-QM module.
• Awareness of CP-UBK Process, CDQs, Risk Management, etc.
• Good knowledge of various quality standards (AIAG, CQI.., ISO9001, ISO16949 ISO14001, etc,.)
