As a Mechanical Engineer, this position will be responsible for activities contributing to the product sustenance. This will also be responsible for collaborating with Product-Development & Customization teams to ensure timely delivery of NPIs.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Executing the design, Sustenance activities, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product requirements.
- Leading and prioritizing the Engineering change management activities within a structured process framework by collaborating with individuals from the business unit.
- Preparing 3-D Model, Drawings & Bill OF Materials, managing engineering change requests, and other support required for Product-sustenance
- Ensuring the timely closure of activities related to SAP, ECM, with end-to-end responsibility
- Monitoring KRA and the build process, and productivity improvement
- Collaborating with Design, Manufacturing, and sourcing Teams to prioritize and execute on Change management tasks & BOM creation.
- Ensuring alignment in all areas of ERP support (SAP/ECTR).
- Resolving problems by applying the acquired expertise and referencing past experiences.

To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institute, college, or university
- Have 3-5 yrs of industrial experience in product design, sustenance, detailed designs, and related documentation.
- Proficient in engineering CAD applications like Creo, Solid Works, AutoCAD – Mechanical, and its integration with suitable PLM tools like Windchill, and ECTR.
- Well-versed in sustenance activities, including engineering change orders or management processes and documentation.
- Team player and must have good Interpersonal communication and documentation skills.
- Having a basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Machining, Sheet Metal, Plastic or molding is a plus
- Knowledge in the ERP system SAP Material Management module is desirable
- Have experience and understanding of HSE systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies
