As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll actively participate to the whole process of product definition, from conceptual design to the development and testing phase of new rotating equipment for energy transition and consolidated portfolio applications (Centrifugal and axial compressors, turboexpanders, reciprocating compressors, innovative rotating equipment, covering the machine and plant integration).
As an Energy transition NPD Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Executing design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects, adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product requirements
- Developing “system engineering” culture, supporting the product configuration definition and relevant changes after industrialization phase
- Providing technical support to personnel supporting the assigned project(s), acting in a global team
- Providing timely communications on significant issues or project(s) developments to the higher management
- Participating as a presenter in technical reviews, assuring proper documentation of technical data is generated for the assigned projects

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have an open mindset ready to learn and apply new concepts.
- Be a graduate in Mechanical, Aerospace, Energy Engineering, with a basic knowledge of a rotating equipment design, able to manage technical documentation, International standards and codes. Have 0-5 years of relevant experience
- Be able to work in teams with experienced people learning proactively and giving active contribution to the design and decision-making process.
- Have an open approach to problem solving, expanding the current theory, methods, and tools knowledge to fill the gaps.
- Able to demonstrate good computer skills and be familiar with CAD modelling, FEA, CFD, and coding (Python etc.).
- Be able to understand thermodynamic principles applied to turbomachinery performances.
- Be adaptable to assimilate new information, different or unexpected circumstances in a fast-changing environment
- Have good verbal and written skills, be fluent in English and hold an international passport
- Able to execute all phases of product creation and be part of multiple teams in the engineering product life, demonstrating initiative and perseverance
