The duties of a manufacturing engineer include designing and supporting the production of the tools and fixtures needed for machining, assembly, and testing. 

Work with the manufacturing, quality, and design teams to confirm the process designs and their effective execution. 

There is a need for new tool and fixture designs, as well as new capability setups, to fulfil orders, given the made to order product portfolio’s (more project specific, complicated project needs).

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • designing the tools and fixtures needed for production, as well as evaluating and enhancing the designs of current tooling.
  • Creating manufacturing procedures for tooling and fixture requirements, testing, and product flow.
  • creating work instructions for testing and assembly.
  • interpreting technical specifications, drawings, and other design information needed for assembly and manufacturing
  • locating failure mechanisms, conducting root cause analyses, and driving repair measures. Implementing lean projects: Find and execute possibilities for ongoing improvement in terms of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • ensuring that the tooling needed for a task is prepared to start production. creation of tooling documentation
  • Examining the effectiveness of tools: periodically check and assess the tool.
  • instructing personnel on new equipment and its use. Give the technician instructions on how to maintain and repair the new tool.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • possess a mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree from an approved university.
  • possess proficiency with programmes like AutoCAD and Solidworks
  • possess expertise in pneumatics, mechanical characteristics, hydro test standards, and tolerances.
  • possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • possess the capacity to operate alone. powerful problem-solving abilities.
