As an Aero Design Engineer, you will be responsible for activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions, and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. Positions requiring an understanding of concepts, methods, and procedures (technical bachelor’s degree). Develop new solutions through New Program development for products not limited to Turbomachinery working with Internal and External customers.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Work on cutting-edge Stage Technology development with guidance from CTHs and work towards entitlement of CC Stage performances. Prepare documentation and present to stakeholders resolving technical challenges along the way.
• Mechanical durability assessment of Rotor and Stator components in Centrifugal compressor, Turbo-Expander, and reciprocating compressors along with cross-functional interaction to develop a robust design.
• FEA analysis to validate the design concepts using ANSYS and In-house tools.
• Perform Conceptual Design and Details Design Review for Compressor components working closely with Chief Engineer’s Office for design adequacy
• Documentation of the design approach and results with approval from the Technical Leader/coordinator.
• Agile approach in developing new programs and market awareness on competitive assessment of Compressors portfolio
• Work with Global teams and cross-functional to support Compressor design robustness.
• Participate in Research & Technology ideation for clean energy solutions

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a BE/BTech OR ME/MTech in Mechanical/Turbomachinery Engineering with a minimum of 0 to 4 years of designing experience in turbomachinery products and systems.
• Exposure or hands-on experience in Durability calculations, Heat Transfer Analysis, and calculations for Turbomachinery products
• Have experience in Oil & Gas Domain working closely with customers.
• Have experience in Compressor, Expander design knowledge with experience resolving customer issues
• Be able to bring new improvements in process, design & Cycle time reduction to be compliant with quality & business requirements.
• Have engineering effort knowledge to evaluate/manage Standard requirements (when needed)
• Have well committed to the target i.e., critical issue/workload pick to be managed in a very short time
• Have expertise in Tools: ANSYS, UG NX.
