The main responsibility of the Design Engineer-CPQ in the Process Management Team is to manage all the activities related to CPQ. This process is implemented to create feature & feature values of all product ranges for all product companies within the CT business area (all divisions). The purpose of these activities is to make available all the data of machine characteristics in the Enovia variant management and then prepare the CPQ accordingly. adhere to the divisional set guidelines.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Manage data and processes used in the design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales & Service of Compressor products across their entire lifecycle and across the supply chain through PLM & CPQ
- Create feature & feature values in PLM, upload its data in various databases and then make products available on CPQ.
- Collaboration across all divisional teams (Engineering, Technical Literature, Standard, BPCS, CTS) to ensure a seamless exchange and management of product data and the overall user experience.
- Bring efficiency and success to product development and optimization of processes.
- Oversee global tasks/projects of all new compressors, Dryers, Pumps, Oxygen Generators, and Nitrogen Generators related to CPQ (PLM) and maintenance of existing product ranges.
- To prepare CPQ (Constraint creation, Marketing text, Display image, Default Values)
- Provide continuous support to PLM & CPQ developments and Automation.
- A key role is to communicate with the marketing team & Engineering team via video conference and collect data related to the product ranges of various brands within Atlas Copco group.
- Set up the process for the work, and design standard input data sheet for customers.
- Manage planning activities related to work and assign the work to resources.
- Responsible for providing training to the customers and explain the functioning of the system.
- To manage PDI/CPQ administration activities in SQL Server.
Knowledge/Educational requirements
- The successful candidate should have a good mix of the following:
- Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2–3 years of industry experience in CPQ
- Variant management in PLM.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Analytical thinking and Problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent in MS Excel, Power BI
