Your Role

Job Description –

Additive Manufacturing is an emerging technology that has the potential to revolutionize product realization on a global scale. To cater increase in service demand in this area, we are looking for an Engineer/Sr. Engineer – Additive Manufacturing in Our Global Engineering Centre (GECIA)

Main Responsibilities –

• You will be responsible for product development projects to develop new products suitable for the Additive manufacturing process, with added value e.g. by weight reduction, part integration & customization.
• Creation of 3D models of various Prototype parts, customized tools & assemblies as well as the creation of scale models based on the given inputs by using CAD tools.
• You should have an awareness in various 3D printing processes & selection of suitable printing processes, Material selection, Cost estimation, Printing Strategy, the orientation of Parts for printing, and generation of supports.
• Redesign of existing applications for part consolidation, shape optimization, topology optimization, and parametric lattice generation.
• Evaluate and promote new products, processes, or systems in the additive manufacturing area.
• You will work together with different stakeholders within Compressor Technique and within the Group
• You will be reporting to Team Leader- Reverse Engineering & Additive Manufacturing.

To succeed, you will need

Experience Requirement –

• 3-5 years of Total experience in Design & Development in an engineering or product organization. Out of which 2 years of experience in Designing parts for Additive manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience of the design & detailing of the parts by using 3D software.
• Experience working on the design of compressors & related products has added advantage
• Knowledge of GD & T and manufacturing processes.

Knowledge/Educational requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• Knowledge about various Additive manufacturing processes, Latest trends in additive manufacturing
• The job demands that the incumbent shall possess knowledge about:
• High level of proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Netfabb, Magics, and Altair Inspire software.
• Knowledge of various phases in the product life cycle like Feasibility, functional prototype, pilot batch, production design, development, manufacturing, procurement etc.
• Knowledge about Materials used in additive manufacturing, Knowledge of conventional manufacturing technologies & materials.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver unique design solutions.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.
