The Role
Mission
- To create a sustainable production system that adheres to safety, health, and environmental regulations while delivering High-Quality Products on time and in the shortest lead time at the lowest cost.
Targets
- Using the appropriate methodology, achieve QDC Excellence for all assembly lines.
- Successful implementation of the leadership projects “Lead 2 Lean” and “World Class.”
- Create additional assembly/sub-assembly lines at the Chakan Plant as needed for expansion and growth.
Optimize operator performance by Continuous improvement & innovation
- Plan time and motion research tasks to determine the proper routing hours.
- To eliminate operator variation, perform routine line balancing to adapt the workload in accordance with the Product Mix as well as various prospective daily volume demands.
- Reduce balance losses on each line to no more than 5%.
- Improve the operator workstation and the flow process by making them flexible (like DC tools), cutting throughput time, and using FMEA-proven design principles to increase efficiency.
- analyse problems and solicit suggestions for improvement from all staff members, for example through the implementation of a Visual Kaizen Board.
- Participate actively in the implementation of the DN (Design Notification) to ensure a seamless introduction and phase-out of the parts with little trash and no production line interruptions (for a shorter Time2Market).
- For the seamless serial manufacture of new products online, a key participant in NPD (new product development) in collaboration with the engineering, purchasing, and quality departments.
- Take part in TCM, PQM, and DN to guarantee prompt closure and prevent reoccurring customer complaints.
- Best practises can be established by formalising Assembly knowledge.
- Active engagement in ideas for infrastructure, assembly tooling, and fixture design to increase productivity alongside operators.
- Determine suppliers and collaborate closely with them on the creation of unique production tools.
- Track the return on investments
- Preventive maintenance and calibration plans for trolleys and other equipment
- Respect IMS principal, and AC Guidelines
- IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ISO 50001 & ISO 45001) mandatory, legal & internal requirement fulfillment for manufacturing function.
- Hazard identification & risk assessment for assembly lines.
- Lead the Manufacturing Teams
- Make monthly reports (on-time & pertinent) to communicate trends & on commitment status.
- Respect law, norms, corporate guidelines (like The Way We Do Things, Business Code of Practice, and Internal Audits), and local procedures.
- Have a good team spirit, take challenges, generate ideas for improvements & innovation, to be open for quick implementation of changes.

What we expect of you?
Experience / Educational requirements
- Mechanical, industrial, or production engineer with a bachelor’s degree and 3-6 years of experience
- MBA candidates would be preferable.
- A benefit is having a technical understanding of the compressor’s parts and assembly.
- Expert in the 5 OKs of lean manufacturing, knowledgeable about supply chain operations, and capable of line balancing
- an understanding of safety, IMS, and quality concepts (FMEA, FTR, 6 Sigma, etc.).
- Proven track record in project management, such as setting up a manufacturing line or implementing a new line.
- exposure to a large manufacturing corporation and the global business climate
- a mastery of English
- Using IT systems like SharePoint, AVIX, MS-Excel, MS-Project, MES, and ERP (BPCS)
- Simple IT Software and hardware utilized in the industrial environment must be understood. An extra benefit is having knowledge of Industry 4.0 and digitalization techniques.
