The Role

PURPOSE/ MISSION

As Technology Engineer Core Design, your mission is “To deliver technically sound ideas and technologies in core design and involve in research to provide pioneering solutions to global challenges across the stake holders of Atlas Copco Group.”

I.e Handling projects for design and development of New components, Products and Technologies within the Core design team of GECIA – Support, interact and participate with Project leader and customers and discuss the design proposals, carry out design reviews for products & technology for Piston Core Block and Engineering.

You shall achieve this, by developing the technical competence for yourself and supporting team members towards a deep understanding of core technology – Mathematical Modelling and MBE, Core Components, Field Applications, & Technology Platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Experience & Knowledge Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Production) with minimum 2-5 years of Experience.
• Good fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering with key focus on thermodynamics, mechanics, heat transfer, and mechanics of material,.
• Sound Knowledge about the performance of compressors and the standards that they comply to (ISO 1217, IS 10431 etc, API 618, API619 etc) is considered an added advantage.
• Knowledge about regressions and regression fits for test data to predict product behavior is a must.
• Exposure towards developing component-level Mathematical Modelling.
• Knowledge of 1D – Mathematical Modelling: test based Modelling and Physics based Modelling
• Basic knowledge of Model Based Engineering/ Model Based System Engineering.
• Good understanding of coding software such as Matlab, and Excel.
• Advanced programming knowledge on Matlab is an added advantage.
• Exposure to developing calculation models catering to system-level performance is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of programming methodologies is added advantage.
• Good visualization skills – understanding the physical phenomena is must
• Good learning agility.
• Go-getter attitude – willingness to explore, understand and develop modelling for new sub-systems.
