Job description
- you’ll be our: Reliability Test Engineer
- you’ll be based at IBC Knowledge Park, Bannerghatta Main Road, Bengaluru
- you’ll be Aligned with: Reliability and Durability Lead- Product Validation
- you’ll be a member of Product Validation, Testing CoC
What you’ll do at Ather:
- Derive field relevant physical load profiles and apply knowledge-based correlation with laboratory tests based on failure mechanisms
- Define and document reliability test plan (DVP) for electronic components, battery pack, motor
- Reliability test planning, coordinating with test engineers for test execution and report preparation
- Ensure all the tests are done as per standard test procedure and test quality is maintained
- Failure investigation – root cause analysis for the test failures
- Estimate failure probabilities and reliability life through mathematical models and statistical methods
- Maintenance of reliability lab equipment – Thermal chamber, UV chamber, vibration shaker etc.
Here’s what we are looking for:
- Strong understanding of electromechanical loads on electronic components, physics of failure of such components, different ageing laws to define the accelerated test profiles for reliability testing
- Complete understanding of available international standards for reliability testing like ISO, IEC, ASTM etc.
- Experience in raw measurement data (stain, vibration etc.) processing and data analysis
- Experience in handling a team
- Excellent communication skills
You bring to Ather:
- Bachelor’s /Masters in Mechanical, Electrical or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in the reliability of automotive electronics
