Job description
you’ll be our : Team Lead – Battery Engineering
you’ll be based at : IBC Knowledge Park, Bengaluru
you’ll be aligned with : Head of Battery Powertrain VI
you’ll be a member of: Battery team
What you’ll do at Ather:
- Own and generate design concepts to ensure that the battery meets its functional requirements
- Design and evaluate various thermal management solutions
- Demonstrate continual improvement of departmental procedures as per the requirements of the corporate QS standards
- Work on testing requirements for projects
- Drive focus on design thinking and design language
- Ensure that Cost, Quality & Schedule goals are met for programs/projects
- Drive compliance with corporate guidelines on DFM, DFA, and component selection/derating
- Deliver effective tools to drive compliance to corporate guidelines on DFC, DFS, and DFR
- Ensure compliance with quality systems requirements, represent team in QS audits
- Drive periodic DFMEA reviews
- Demonstrate a focus on pro-active screening of defects and timely implementation of control mechanisms to reduce RPN
Here’s what we are looking for:
- Good understanding of design for assembly
- Understanding of heat transfer and various thermal management solutions
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of cell performance, impedance, cell testing/data analysis, and failure modes in Li-ion cells
You bring to Ather:
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- 3 to 4 years’ experience in leading and managing a team of experts in the design and development of electronic packaging, peripheral development, and harness design for electric vehicles.
