• Reports to: Managing Director, Shree Mahavir Metalcraft Pvt. Ltd. initially, however after complete integration with ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions South Asia, this position will report to Managing Director SAARC.

Position Summary

• This position will be responsible for handling the entire plant activities of ASSA ABLOY Group Company Shree Mahavir Metalcrafts Pvt. Ltd. with strong focus on people leadership, environment and statutory compliance to run cost efficient operations without compromising on Quality & Safety. Take continuous improvement approach to enhance productivity through operational excellence. Build & strengthen team capability to deliver outstanding results.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Determine the goals of the plant operations in accordance with the organization strategic plan and cascade it down the line.
• Plan, organize, direct and run day-to-day operations at optimum level to meet customer’s expectation.
• Ensure the most effective utilization of resources: Manpower, Machine, Material, Money and Time.
• Lead initiatives on Continuous Improvement by implementing best practices (Lean, Quality Standard etc.).
• Monitor and improve COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality)
• Responsible to implement the overall supply chain strategy and coordinate with functional head to ensure smooth vendor management.
• Lead workplace Health and Safety related initiatives and ensure adherence to company processes and regulatory compliances.
• Ensure compliance to various statutory requirements.
• Build and maintain cohesive relationships and create positive work environment.
• Lead people development initiatives.

Skills & Abilities Required

• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Management of standalone P&L
• Lean manufacturing and six sigma principles
• Environmental, Health and Safety systems awareness
• Ability to build a high performing team
• Should have strong knowledge of metals manufacturing process
• Awareness of MRP systems with preference of SAP

Education Qualification & Experience required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Production/Mechanical)
• Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience including five or more years as a plant head of a leading manufacturing site
• Strong track record of delivering on Operational Matrix
