Position – Senior Consultant – RAMS (UK Projects)

Job description
- The position is to undertake RAM (Reliability, Availability and Maintainability) and Safety analyses and management activities.
- The applicant will work predominantly within the rail sector, although opportunities to support other sectors may arise from time-to-time.
- The work will involve undertaking assurance and management activities through the application of RAMS techniques. Typical activities include actively leading on some project safety tasks and undertaking:
- Hazard Identification workshops (Hazid / Hazops)
- Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Fault Tree Analysis / Event Tree Analysis
- Reliability assessments (typically using Reliability Block Diagrams)
- Preparing assurance documentation including plans and reports
- Reviewing RAM and Safety documentation
Qualifications & Skills
- BE/ BTech in Civil/ Mechanical/ M.E / M. Tech from a recognized University.
- Exp. – 8 -10 years of experience.
- Sound technical knowledge.
- The applicant shall have recent experience of the application of RAMS skills (as described above) in the rail sector.
- The candidate should be capable of working independently on set tasks and also contribute in a team environment. There may be some supervision / task leading with junior consultants.
- Qualifications should be recognized by a professional engineering body and the candidate would ideally either already be a full member or planning to achieve this status.
