Position – Design Engineer-Simulation Analysis

Aptiv PLC
Location – Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Build and simulate the product for structural simulation and analyze the results.
Generate reports and discuss with product engineers on the results and share recommendations.
Continuously collaborate with product engineers to ensure the expected product optimization is achieved.
Closely communicate and follow-up to ensure project completion.
Plan the analysis process and finalize in discussion with the team leader.
Ensure the delivery of the reports is on time in order to meet the product optimization deadlines.
Continuously work on project execution efficiency and effectiveness improvements.

Qualified with Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering
3 years or more in automotive structural analysis experience.
Hands-on skills in structural analysis using Abaqus software.
Proven skills in Automotive connector / Automotive Product validation.
Basis knowledge in product concepts.
Stronger foundation in plastic material properties, Solid Mechanics, Strength of Material & Mechanical Vibrations.
Competence in manufacturing feasibility skills and its application.
Good English communication skills.

Location – Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Responsible to lead and meet research requirements (secondary and primary) for the business.
Conduct patent searches (Prior art search, Landscape search, Freedom to operate search) for the Legal team in charge of Intellectual property.
Work with a large amount of information (generated/co-ordinate from various sources) from a detailed point of view, synthesize data and share inferences/suggestions.
Work closely with advanced product development projects contributing to the team with innovative ideas generated through the research findings.
Manage and contribute to various research requirements related to Product, Technology, Market, Competition, Customers, and Patents, etc…
Analyze existing processes or procedures and assist in various process improvements.
Factual and reliable support expected in overall research activities.

Qualified Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical).
2 years to 5 years of experience in research activities preferably in the automotive industry.
1-3 years’ experience in completing Patent search requirements
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen ability to effectively and professionally communicate at all levels (internally and externally).
Experience in contributing various types of research activities – Product research, Technology research, Market research/intelligence, Competitor studies/intelligence, Patent research, etc…
Knowledge in business analysis tools desirable – Excel, Qliksense, Tableau, etc…
