  • Student Intern OR Project Trainee – ElectroMagnetic Applications
  • FEKO is a comprehensive computational electromagnetics (CEM) software used widely in the telecommunications, automobile, aerospace and defense industries. FEKO offers several frequency and time domain EM solvers under a single license. Hybridization of these methods enables the efficient analysis of a broad spectrum of EM problems, including antennas, microstrip circuits, RF components and biomedical systems, the placement of antennas on electrically large structures, the calculation of scattering as well as the investigation of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
  • Combined with the MLFMM, and the true hybridization of the solvers, FEKO is considered the global market leader for antenna placement analysis. WinProp’s highly accurate and very fast empirical and deterministic propagation models are available for a wide range of scenarios: Rural, urban, indoor, tunnel, vehicular. WinProp supports arbitrary transmitters incl. cellular and broadcasting sites, satellites, repeaters, and leaky feeder cables.

Description

  • Develop Training materials for Altair ElectroMagnetic applications such as Altair FEKO, WinProp and Pollex, NewFasant etc. as per requirement (domain specific) and Updating existing training material (Training Videos, tutorials etc.)
  • Develop a knowledge base by writing useful tips and tricks about our software usage, FAQ etc.
  • Support and Train Academics – Students, researchers and Professors in the use of Altair ElectroMagnetic applications such as Altair FEKO, WinProp, Pollex, NewFasant etc.
  • Train and support students in competitive events such as eBaja, efficycle, shell-eco marathon, FEKO student contest or equivalent.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Excellent written communication skills in English are a must.
  • Should have taken part in a student competition such as eBaja, efficycle, shell-eco marathon, Feko student contest or equivalent.
  • Develop Training materials for Altair ElectroMagnetic applications such as Altair Feko, WinProp and Pollex, NewFasant etc. as per requirement (domain specific) and Updating existing training material (Training Videos, tutorials etc.)
  • Develop a knowledge base by writing useful tips and tricks about our software usage, FAQ etc.
  • Support and Train Academics – Students, researchers and Professors in the use of Altair ElectroMagnetic applications such as Altair Feko, WinProp, Pollex, NewFasant etc.

Background & Skills

  • Understanding of the principals of RF and Electromagnetics, Antenna Designs and placements, EMI/EMC, Microwave structures, etc.
  • Knowledge of EM solving techniques like MoM, FDTD, FEM, GO, PO
  • Working knowledge of any of RF & EM simulations tools.
  • An energetic and independent team player with strong interpersonal, planning and communication skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
