Position – General Manager

Job description
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion within budgeted cost and approved schedule in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate, direct, and interfacing with contractors and subcontractors and responsible for the integration of various packages in alignment with mining plan and business requirements
- Prepare, supervise and approve the Project Execution Plan and its implementation plus ensuring Lessons Learned are properly documented throughout the life of the project including Project Close-out
- Review the work progress on daily basis and prepare reports pertaining to job status
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
- Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among the ranks throughout the Company
- Ensure timely booking of invoices and ensure payments of invoice submission as per contractual requirements
- Plan and implement internal projects to improve productivity and safety
- Ensure the continuous availability of equipment/power required for mining operations
- Review mechanical and electrical preventive/predictive maintenance status of Mine equipment and take necessary corrective actions
- Ensure timely renewal/award of outsourced contracts
- Manage and control inventory costs of spare parts and consumables within budget.
- Review electricity/fuel consumption patterns and take necessary corrective actions to reduce the costs
- Analyze electrical and mechanical breakdowns and take corrective actions in order to reduce time.
- Ensure compliances to DGMS/Mines act in the ES area
Qualifications
- Essential: BE Mechanical / Civil
- Desired: Postgraduate in Construction Management (NICMAR etc.
- construction ability, knowledge in civil, electrical, and instrumentation related jobs
- 20-25 years of relevant experience of working in infrastructure project construction. Preferable to have some experience in mining infra construction
