Job description

• Leading team of electrical, electronic and mechanical experts.
• Reviewing technical Documents/QAP’s/Instructions/Drawings against standards & engineering practices followed for wind & solar assets.
• Process auditing and evaluation of wind turbine and solar power plants.
• Reviewing the Inspection protocol of incoming project materials in project & service stores. Review and compliance of Turbine installation and implementation of QAP at new project sites, Documentation, database system and release of overall performance and quality assessment of wind farm based on evidences.
• Assisting in the process of technical support for troubleshooting issues relating to wind & Solar power plant operations, initiating corrective and preventive actions as applicable in coordination with engineering.
• Reviewing the work instructions (Installation, Maintenance), operating manuals, checklists, technical instructions / information, repair instructions, and initiating revisions through periodic reviews with cross- functional departments. Maintaining database for audit evidences and audit reports, and periodically reviewing them.
• Responsible for Root cause analysis of all major components’ failure.
• Responsible for keep up of electrical and electronic equipment, like transformer, switch yard equipment, transmission line, inverter, tracker, wind turbine control system.
• Capable to understand and lead team of mechanical experts doing condition monitoring & data analysis of critical components like bearings, gearboxes, couplings blades, generator and other critical component to achieve optimum life.
• Put into practice the guidelines for effective audit preparations and system assessment.
• Implemented systems for statistical analysis and interpretation of audit data for continual improvement.
• Put into practice the guidelines for effective pre-audit preparations and system assessment.
• Actively involvement in technical support in erection activities in case of major breakdown during O&M to restrict the occurrence of nonstandard procedures and practices.
• Material Planning and Inventory Management of spares, tools & consumables.
• Co-ordinate with OEM for Wind turbine Assembly during production, Overhauling and Refurbishment of wind energy convertors (WEC) during O&M.
• Review and approve the technical documents and protocols of OEM.
• Review /approve electrical drawings/specifications and circuit diagram.
• Fault analysis and suggestions for predictive actions to avoid future failures
• Material Planning and Inventory Management of raw materials, tools & consumables for solar and wind assets.
• Conditional monitoring of wind turbines (Oil/Grease sample analysis, Endoscopy ,Vibration analysis )
• Conditional monitoring of Substation and transmission line equipment
• Suggestion for improvement in maintenance practices to enhance the asset life. .
• Conduct technical audit to ensure assets are maintained well.
• Collaborate with other Engineering and OEM for technical solutions for asset performance improvement.
• Occasionally travel to site and to conduct training on asset performance analysis / predictive actions required to improve the performance of Wind/Solar assets.
• Assist Fleet site team in determining additional diagnostic detection capabilities to reduce turbine downtime, prevent component failures, and increase turbine performance.
• Developing/reviewing technical training modules of O&M department
• Delivering /Reviewing Train the Trainer course to other cluster heads.
• Publish technical papers on half yearly once
• Develop/review course outline, module outlines and training materials for new turbines, multi brand turbines.
• (Develop task lists for field certification (lists with the tasks that the Engineers must successfully perform to be field certified).
• Define specification for training equipment (training hardware and simulators) for new products.
• Performance analysis of the wind turbines through its power curve monitoring (using SCADA).
• Advise O&M Head on strategy, market opportunities, competitive landscapes, company positioning.
• Constantly review, streamline and automate the current operational workflow to improve productivity
• Developing procedures for the special activities like Major component replacement and troubleshooting guideline. amending as necessary, to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment.
• Provide technical input to sign off HOTO

• BE Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Mechanical 15-20 Years in Windfarm
