Job description
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic
- Review and maintain downtime within target, adherence to R & M, Stores Spares budget of Engineering
- Maintain ECR within target
- Ensure compliance to statutory and regulatory obligations
Functional
Core
1. Achieve reduction in downtime on account of engineering
Ensure Uninterrupted working of Utility equipment in order to upkeep the manufacturing process
Monitor and control the operation of equipment and machinery with respect to Engineering in areas like utilities, HCM, mucilage preparation, and Packaging in order to achieve the downtime target
Monitor and control process parameters and ensure implementation of corrective actions for utilities and HCMs on a regular basis
Carry out root cause analysis for repeated failure and implement effective CAPA in co-ordination with Engineering Leads and team member
Ensure availability of critical spares at shopfloor in ready-to-use condition to maintain plant up-time
• Ensure proper online/ offline documentation is maintained related to process equipment, HCM, and all Utility equipment
• improvement projects in the facility
• Implement online projects for various ongoing improvements of systems & processes
• Upgradation of automation system for process synchronization/optimization
• Coordinate with external & internal SMEs, stakeholders, and consultants for designing and implementation of systems, wherever required
• Support other functions in the execution of cross-functional projects
• Improve and sustain productivity – Control the downtime of HCM as per the target and achieve the desired quality output to meet the budget
• Execution of innovative projects in various fields based on advanced technologies for synchronization of process/utility by automation, productivity increase, and energy conservation
• Ensure execution of the operation of HVAC, Water system and maintain as per schedule
• Carry out maintenance of Utility & HCM equipment by utilizing equipment / Machine downtime
• Support to Project function for any upgradation in utility
. Energy Conservation
• Analyse operational efficiency of equipment and escalate to improve in case of underperformance
4. Cost optimization
• Ensure cost optimization in improvement projects with vendor development
• Ensure reduction in Stores spares and R&M cost
Internal Process
• Prepare and share CTQ compliance report on daily/weekly/monthly basis with Online Lead/HOD
• Prepare, review and submit downtime analysis report and various MIS reports on regular basis to HOD
People Development
• Develop associates on multi-skilling
• Provide on job and classroom training to associates
Key Result Areas

- Calibration/verification of instrument/equipment & error – free Documentation
