ABB’s Robotics and Discrete Automation (RA) business is writing the future of flexible factory and smart machines by providing value-added solutions in robotics, machine and factory automation. This is a Test Automation Engineer role reporting to the Line Manager in Business Area – RA and located in Bangalore. You will be contributing with own ideas for identifying, proposing and implementing innovative technology development and solutions.
Your responsibilities
- Designing and developing test scenarios based on requirements.
- Interacting with Product Management, Project Management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the test project and testing objectives.
- Enhancing automation frameworks and test case’s for ensuring application adhere to the requirements.
- Executing test case’s to ensuring application adhere to the requirements.
- Preparing test reports along with reporting Defects, Retesting and Regression testing.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background
- B.E / B. Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Production, or Instrumentation.
- 3-6 years of hands-on experience in Functional testing.
- Hands-on experience on C# with strong OOPS concepts.
- Proficient in TFS and MTM or similar defect and test management tool.
- Proficiency in Automation testing using tools such as Appium or Coded UI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies.
- Good experience with manual software testing life cycle -test planning, test case design and execution, defect management, test reporting.
- Should have experience in working effectively in fast paced environments-Agile.

This is a Senior Test Automation Engineer role, reporting to the Line Manager in Business Area – RA and located in Bangalore. You will be contributing with own ideas for identifying, proposing and implementing innovative technology development and solutions.
Your responsibilities
- Analyzing system requirements and responsible for developing automation frameworks based on Microsoft platform.
- Interacting with Product Management, Project Management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the test project and testing objectives.
- Enhancing automation frameworks and test case’s for ensuring application adhere to the requirements.
- Analyzing and understanding existing test coverage and automation frameworks, identifying opportunities for redesign, replacement, reusability, and improvement in efficiency and performance.
- Driving end-to-end test automation, with automated test environment deployment, zero manual testing, and integrated, aggregated status reporting.

Your background
- B.E / B. Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Production, or Instrumentation.
- Should have 10 plus of years’ experience in Automation testing.
- Hands-on QA lead role with either previous experience of leading a QA team or a desire to move into this role.
- Proficient in TFS and MTM or similar defect and test management tool.
- Proven experience in analyzing requirements, develop test cases, execute and defect reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies.
- Good experience with manual software testing life cycle -test planning, test case design and execution, defect management, test reporting.
- Should have experience in working effectively in fast paced environments-Agile.
- Experience in testing of standalone application as well as web application.
