This is a R&D Engineer-Reliability role, reporting to Associate Principle Engineer in Business Area Electrification (EL) located in Bangalore and will be responsible for developing and executing reliability plans, evaluations, testing for our systems. This role is perfect for someone who loves to see a project from beginning to end. Looking for excellent communicators who are able to collaborate with a cross functional, geographically distributed multi-site R&D team.
Your responsibilities
- Working with global research and technology teams, design engineers and laboratory teams to ensure that products conform to customer expectations.
- Performing dFMEA and pFMEA analysis on our products with the support of local R&D experts.
- Developing and executing HALT/HASS testing on our products.
- Routinely reviewing fleet history on our products, performing statistical analysis and simulations to continuously monitor lifetime robustness of our products.
- Developing recommended practices/guidelines for local R&D competence centers around Reliability/Lifetime Engineering.
- Supporting product launch initiatives and maintaining reliability aspects of our products throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Conducting Life-Cycle Assessments for our products including modeling, data collection, data analysis, safe system and component recycling/disposal manuals and associated reporting.
- Establishing scalable mechanisms and tools for Life cycle analysis (LCA).
- Developing reports, dashboards and metrics which distill complex data into actionable insights to inform product decisions.
- Creating updates to technical documentation such as installation and operation manuals as necessary.

Your background
- B.Tech/B.E in Electrical, Mechanical, Power Electronics.
- Minimum 5-8 years of applicable engineering experience, conducting reliability research or driving reliability improvements.
- Experience with product LCA and sustainable product design.
- Experience in AutoCAD drafting, SolidWorks & Creo.
- Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and detailed electrical schematics.
- Technical writing experience.
- Experience performing design verification and reliability testing.
- Experienced in the application of DOE (Design of Experiments).
- Experienced in leading/conducting design FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis).
- The ability to articulate issues in quantitative terms both verbally and with documentation.
- Experience with Power Electronics equipment a plus.
