Job Description:

Job Purpose

To run 135 TPH and 150 TPH CFBC Boilers, 2×30 MW extraction cum condensing turbine-generators & auxiliaries, including compressed air, Ash handling of 60 MW (2x30MW) power plant through DCS within safe and designed limits in their shifts to achieve targeted and economic power generation.

Supporting Actions

Operation of 60 MW (2x30MW) – Boiler

Achieve generation targets by efficient operation of both units with parallel or isolated from grid.

• 
  Smooth & safe DCS operation of the plant and related auxiliaries in the shift.
• Strive to achieve the set operation parameters and consumption norms.
• Co-ordination with shift in charge and area operators for smooth operation of the plant.
• Reporting abnormalities of the system equipment’s.
• Compliance and adherence of SOPs on day-to-day basis.
• Ensure optimum energy consumption by operating equipment’s at their prescribed capacity.
• Collection of water chemistry report from DM Plant and act upon to maintain required parameters by operating or regulating chemical dosing system.
• Coordinating coal handling plant operator for coal bunker operation and collecting level reports
• Run fly ash and bed ash system through DCS.

  Following ISO, WCM, SA-8000, and OSHAS standards.
• Maintaining area equipment’s as per autonomous maintenance practices.

  To maintain accident free operation and follow up of all environment related parameters of boiler.
• Implementation of best safety practices and train the people to adopt practices in the plant.
• Interaction for percolation of safety awareness in the shift.
• To comply operation ability of safety system and procedure.

Qualifications

Other Skills

B.Tech / B.E – Mechanical with 4 – 8 yrs of relevant experience.

  Relevant Boiler Operations / DCS Experience
• BOE certified engineer
• Boiler Certification
