You will be working as R&D Engineer and reporting to R&D Team lead for Electrification business area, distribution solutions division based in Nashik. You will be responsible for contributing with own ideas to identify, propose, implement innovative technology development and solutions by solving industrial problems independently.
Your responsibilities
- Responsible for Gas Insulated Switchgear design and development, prototyping, type testing
- Reviewing mechanical design, concept and full CAD 3D models and detailed design and completing detailed 2D drawings
- Designing of sheet metal parts, casted and machined metal parts, molded plastic parts
- Metal forming and manufacturing Process knowledge and optimization
- Design reviewing in close communication with other R&D project managers and technical experts
Your background
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in in design and development of GIS
- Excellent competence with CAD (Pro-E, Solidworks etc.,)
- Understanding of technical drawings and experience in PLM system is required(SolidWorks/Smarteam/Windchill is preferred)
- Fluent spoken and written English
