This position reports to the Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and modify the standard designs of equipment, systems, or installations, including standard specifications for manufacturing, fabrication, or construction, using standard design concepts. Each day, you will design engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to contract specifications. You will also showcase your expertise by contributing to design reviews and design verification and modifying the design, as necessary. The work model for the role is: #Li_hybrid This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation in Bangalore, India. You will be mainly accountable for:

• Create the engineering design concept/philosophy definition.
• Evaluate and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform engineering assignments.
• Review and get approval from the Customer/project team.
• Provide technical support for testing, installation,n and commissioning activities.
• Creates work plans and cost estimates for work in own area of responsibility and proactively manages his/her work to deliver the agreed dates.
• Utilize standard processes and tools like SolidWorks, Catia V5, and Autocad Promote the use of the libraries, as well proposing new Solutions.

Qualifications for the role

• You are immersed in lay outing, designing robot end effectors/grippers, arc welding fixtures, SPM, conveyors etc, hand calculation and cycle time study, and simulation using software like Robot Studio.
• Experienced in engineering tools like Solidworks, catia V5, and AutoCAD, familiar with international standards like ISO, and DIN, etc, selecting bought-out parts like motors, gears, pneumatic cylinders, precision rails, actuators, vacuum products, etc & Knowledge of GDNT symbols.
• 3.5- 8.5 years of experience in Robotic Automation Design, BIW Robotic Fixture, and Gripper Design.
• Possess the ability to see practical/simple solutions to complex problems & the ability to work within a virtual organization
• Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, basic knowledge in Designing Automation Equipment, BIW Fixture Design, SPM, Fixture and material handling equipments.
• You are at ease in communicating across cultures.
• Active learner of all available business applications/ tools applied for Robotics Systems.
