You will be working as a Mechanical Design Engineer and will be part of the Motion Business Area for System Drives Division based in Bangalore North, India. In this role you will be reporting to Business Manager – E2E and will be responsible for supporting our Global R&D organization from the concept phase to the productization with crucial investigations.
Your responsibilities
- Demonstrating solid technical proficiency in own competence area by performing a variety of technology and engineering assignments
- Chasing, assessing, and proposing, innovative and modern production technology in collaboration with our SCM organization and our R&D departments
- Assessing product sustainability and running respective analysis
- Supporting the Manufacturability investigations of our converters with our suppliers (Feasibility, testing, Qualification, Quality tracking)
- Proposing advanced production workflow (Automation or similar)
- Awareness of manufacturability/serviceability in all its shades: cost, maintenance, time
- Experience on working with standards, complying with them and certification step/support
Your background
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in R&D in mechanical engineering, preferably within Power Electronics environment
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering: Design for manufacturing, Production, Assembly
- Experience in modern and digital HW should cost analysis and Design to Value methodology (DFM/DFA/DFx) is preferable
- Tools such as experience in CAD Creo7 (or above) and some affinity with PTC PLM Windchill cloud and with SAP is necessary
- Excellent communication, cooperation, and teamwork skills
- Professional working proficiency in English
