You will be working as Associate Designer and will be part of Electrification business Area for Services division based in Nashik, India. In this role you will be reporting to Designer and will be responsible for creating and modifying the standard designs of equipment, systems or installations including standard specifications for manufacturing, fabrication or construction for assignments classified as low to medium complexity by applying standard design concepts.

Your responsibilities

  • Designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to contractual specification
  • Preparing mechanical design concept and full CAD 3D models. Detailed designing and complete detailed 2D drawings
  • Creating or reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and planning required by manufacturing, fabrication or construction
  • Supporting technical risk assessments and implementing resulting actions for one’s projects
  • Ensuring Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations and project gross margin requirements by not generating Project Left-Over Material (PLOM)
  • Coordinating with manufacturing and testing functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured or staged and tested

Your background

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in the design and development of Medium Voltage Indoor Switchgear
  • Knowledge on materials and material standards i.e., IS, EN, ISO, DIN, etc and different manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge about type testing, IEC standards, and experience of handling type testing in STL or similar laboratories, prototype manufacturing
  • Excellent competence with CAD (Pro-E, Solidworks etc.,), technical drawings
