Scope and Impact of the Position in the Organization

1. Good knowledge in 3D modeling and detailing of parts and assembly with best practices.
2. Ability to understand Customer requirements and regulatory requirements.
3. Ensures all design activities related to phase reviews and releases on time.
4. Work with regional and global engineering teams and cross-functional teams
5. Leads all engineering activities and is responsible for the deliverables including Quality, Cost, and Delivery
6. Flexible to learn and execute new ideas for Design to Cost and Productivity

Desired Specific Experience

1. 2 to 3 years of Experience in 3D modeling and detailing.
2. Experience in CREO is a must
3. Experience in Product life cycle management tools and change management.
4. Must Perform Design Calculations required for Product Design.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
6. Experience in Hydraulics Product Design in the Automotive domain is preferable.

Main Responsibilities

1. Creation of 3D modeling and drawings for regional and global projects
2. Concept development, Detail Design, DFMEA, and Design deliverables needed for the Design Reviews
3. Perform Engineering design calculations as required to ensure robust product design.
4. Collaborate with Regional and Global Design Teams and Multifunctional teams and ensure the project deliverables are on time.
5. Achieve Product target cost and contribute to Design to Cost (DTC) and Productivity.

Education and Experience

1. Bachelors/ Master’s in Engineering (Mechanical)
2. 2-3 years of experience in Product Engineering handling Hydraulics/ Mechanical Products in the Automotive industry
