About the Role
As an Engineer I in ZF’s R&D Mechanical team, you will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and documenting mechanical systems and electronic control systems for industrial automation. This position focuses on developing mechanical systems that meet high standards in quality, efficiency, and functionality, supporting ZF’s commitment to innovative mobility solutions.
Responsibilities
- Requirement Management:
- Define and manage engineering requirements for mechanical systems.
- Design & Development:
- Design assemblies and components and ensure functionality, safety, and durability.
- Conduct tolerance studies to validate design integrity.
- Bill of Materials (BOM):
- Define and maintain accurate BOMs for product assemblies.
- Production Support:
- Assist production teams by providing technical insights and resolving issues related to design.
- Design Standards:
- Establish and maintain design standards, ensuring consistency and quality across products.
- Supplier Coordination:
- Work with suppliers to ensure components meet ZF’s specifications and quality requirements.
Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in mechanical design, engineering software, and tolerance analysis.
- Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems is preferred.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage projects and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
