Job Summary:

• This position supports Maintenance department and Manufacturing team activities to achieve the department’s established goals & plant KPIs

Job Responsibilities/Objectives:

• Responsible to expedite on maintenance/ engineering activities at all times especially Mechanical/Electrical engineering related.
• Responsible and expedite on equipment repair and released timely to process owner after verified.
• Assist new equipment installation and validation according the relevant SOP/Protocol.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities promptly for all production equipment according the relevant SOP’s. ensure minimum equipment downtime through preventive and corrective maintenance
• Ensure proper completion of document and records as required by SOI
• If maintenance/engineering activities have to be performed on a weekend/public holiday to minimize production disruption, maintenance personnel is required to be present accordingly.
• Maintain an effective communication between shift / change cover.
• Ensure proper documentation of all engineering aspect.
• Take initiative to reduce waste by switching off the machinery if it is not operating for a prolong period (eg. Weekend/public holiday etc). switch of the lights and air conditioning if not required etc. observe for energy saving possibilities and execution.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by superior and management.
• Ensure that all operations in your area of responsibilities are complied with GMP,ISO 9001,ISO 15378 etc .
• Quality: The job holder is aware of his/her special responsibility for quality and conducts his/her activities in accordance with the Company’s quality policy at all times.
• Work to cGMP standards as required by the company
• Ensure good 5S and Housekeeping are maintained at all time in the work areas.
• Ensure that products conform to the requirements of our customers and meet full customer satisfaction
• Ensure products that are cost effective without prejudice to the required standard of performance, reliability and quality
• Adhering to the processes and procedures that apply to quality.
• Ensure that all operations in your area of responsibilities are comply with GMP ISO 9001 & ISO 15378 (as per current version)
• SOI: The job holder is aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description .
• Safety: The job holder is aware of his/her special responsibility towards health and safety in accordance with the company’s safety policy at all times.
• Ensure all safety features are checked and tested according to the requirements before start the operation
• Promptly report any malfunction safety features to the Superior immediately for corrective action.
• Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Work safely by not causing unsafe conditions or doing unsafe acts
• Adhering to the processes and procedures that apply to Health and Safety conformance.
• Lean: Support and contribute actively in Lean sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.
• Take initiatives to reduce waste by switching off the machinery if it is not operating for a prolong period (eg. Weekend / public holiday etc),switch of the lights and air conditioning if not required etc.
• Support Lean initiatives and actively participate in waste reduction and quality/productivity improvement.

Competencies/Authorities

• Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Professional

• Diploma/ITI in Mechanical / Mechatronics are preferred
• NITEC / ITI / NTC in Electrical. A diploma in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent will be added advantage.
• Minimum 3 year working experience in maintenance department, preferably medical/ Pharma / manufacturing industrial environment

Technical

• Basic knowledge in the metal stamping, die, assembly machine, injection molding machine, and mold.
• Able to work hands-on
• Able to interpret/design electrical schematics.

Business

• Basic computer knowledge Microsoft Office & CAD will be an added advantage.
