Function/ Position Description & Requirements :

• Assuring quality parameters of the parts at supplier end as per agreed QAP/ SOP’s.
• Handling Project orders Sand washing plants, Clusters, Skids & screen
• Ensuring Implementation / validation of quick checking Templates, Jigs and fixture’s at supplier end.
• Ensuring instrument calibration and closure of audit observations on time.
• Improving the welding quality, aesthetic issues at all supplier end by giving Training.
• Documentation of all project orders which includes Dimension inspection reports, Liquid penetrations reports, Painting, blasting and chemlock , MTC etc
• Conducting Suppliers process audits as per plan.
• New supplier evaluation.
• Raising NCR for Non-conformances parts to supplier & ensure the effectiveness on closure of NCRs and Audit observations
• Fabrication parts inspection at supplier end
• Supplier personnel training & development
• Basic MS office skills (word, Excel & power point)
• Awareness on welding standards such as AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, AS 1554, ISO 3834
• Awareness on Various material standards such as IS2062, ASTM 106, ASTM A29, ASTM A 572, ASTM 148, AST A743
• Awareness on WPS, WPQ & PQR
• Hands on welding inspection, welding defects identification  and inspection techniques, instruments & devises used in welding inspection
•  Awareness on standards like IS 808, IS 13290 , ISO 2768
• Awareness of painting standards & painting inspection , paint qualification methods

Key Responsibilities:

Timely inspection of parts at supplier end with 100% FPYR at assembly. Timely closure of NCR at supplier end with effective CAPA. Ensure & Implement Templates & Fixtures are available for all the parts Supplier audits of regular suppliers.

Key Performance Indicators

 Periodic validation of parts OTSR for the development parts New supplier evaluation / development. Reduction of DPPM Improving welding quality at all the supplier ends- 100% FPYR Major Project orders -100% FPYR through mock up at supplier end.

Safety Responsibilities:

• Follow Safety norms as per Weir Group EHS policy and WMI IMS Policy
• Facilitate safety trainings as per the company norms and standards
• Facilitate safety events as per the company requirements
• Hazard identification and closure of it
• Active involvement in safety activities

Qualification:  B.E in Mechanical engineering

Experience : : 3 – 5 Years experience in Quality dept ( in tier one fabrication industry).

Female candidates with above skill set will be given preference

Technical  Certification

Level 2 VT, LPT

Required

• Level 2 in DPT , VT & UT Mandatory 
• RT desirable
• Any kind of welding inspector / engineer certification desirable
